EHR integration for an AI medical scribe
Tebra is the one EHR Notermed files notes into today. You can look up a Tebra patient and file the signed note into their chart. No other EHR integration is built, and that includes Epic.
This page is the list, kept current. If your system is not in the built column, you can still use Notermed, and you should ask us where yours sits before you sign up rather than after.

Not built for any system, Tebra included
- Importing appointments or reading a schedule from any EHR, Tebra included

If your EHR is not built
You can still use Notermed. Recording the visit, reading the draft and signing the note do not depend on an EHR connection at all. What you lose is the filing step: putting the signed note into the chart stays a thing you do, not a thing Notermed does. Everything up to the signature is the same as it is for a clinic on Tebra.
In the browser
Notermed runs in the browser on any device, including the recording itself. There is nothing to install and no connection to configure.
On Android
The mobile app is Android today, for rounds and home visits. iOS is in development.
Export or copy the signed note
Once you have signed a note, export it as a PDF or copy it a section at a time, then put it into your own chart the way you do now.
Whether that is good enough for your clinic depends on how your chart works, so ask before you sign up rather than after. Tell us which system you run and we will tell you plainly where yours sits.
What holds true for your patient data
These apply whether or not you ever connect an EHR. The technical detail is on the security and HIPAA page.
A BAA first
We sign a Business Associate Agreement with your clinic before any patient data is processed.
US servers only
Patient data is stored and processed only on servers in the United States.
Encrypted throughout
Recordings, transcripts and notes are encrypted in transit and at rest.
Never training data
Patient conversations are never used to train AI models.
Yours to sign
Every note is a draft until the clinician reviews it and signs it.
Questions about EHR integration
Which EHRs does Notermed integrate with?
Tebra, and only Tebra. You can verify your Tebra credentials with a read-only connection test, look up a Tebra patient, and file a signed note into that patient's Tebra chart as a document. No integration with any other EHR is built.
Does Notermed work with Epic?
No. There is no Epic integration. You cannot look up an Epic patient from Notermed, and you cannot file a note into an Epic chart. Tebra is the only EHR Notermed files notes into today.
Can I use Notermed if my clinic is not on Tebra?
Yes. Notermed runs in the browser on any device and as an Android app, and recording a visit, reading the draft and signing the note do not depend on an EHR connection. Once you have signed a note you can export it as a PDF or copy it section by section, and put it into your own chart the way you do today.
How does Notermed put a note into the chart?
As a document on the patient's chart, the way a scanned report is. Notermed does not write into named EHR fields and does not add coded problem lists or other structured data. This filing step is built for Tebra only.
Does Notermed read appointments or schedules from an EHR?
No. Appointment and schedule sync is not built for any system, Tebra included. You start the visit in Notermed, and the only thing that moves the other way is a signed note filed into a Tebra patient chart.
When will my EHR be supported?
We do not publish dates. Systems other than Tebra are not built yet, so ask us where yours sits before you sign up rather than after, and you will get a straight answer from a person instead of a guess from a web page.

Tell us the name of your EHR and we will tell you whether Notermed files into it, which today means Tebra or nothing. We would rather lose the signup than have you find out in week two.
